PSP Affiliates - Choose Best Health Affiliate Programs
A frequent question we receive from affiliates is : "why are 2 tier programs better than a 1 tier?".
The obvious perspective is that you earn more money from a 2 tier or 3 tier program for the same amount of effort. Let me explain :
1) Any effort generating business for a single tier program, will also net that program new affiliates. In effect you are creating your own competition, which in turn will reduce your income and increase your costs to get the same business as before. Compared to a 2 tier program where you are paid on going compensation for bringing in more affiliates that help to make the program stronger.
Now look at the less obvious facts.
2) By far the biggest percentage of fly-by-night programs start and finish as a 1 tier.
3) A group of people working as a team do a better job monitoring programs - rather than affiliates working in a void, with their only contact an affiliate manager. This is particularly important when it comes down to missing commission pays.
4) If you are a small to medium size affiliate and you see the program is ripping you off - who will fight on your side. If you have no downline or upline, you have no power and you are ignored.
5) If a group of customers have missed deliveries you are more likely to find out if you are working with a team of other affiliates than if you are by yourself in a single tier.
The counter to the above by some inexperienced affiliate managers may be that your 1st tier pay is higher. Rubbish - after 5 years in this business, we have calculated you would need a minimum of 35% commission against the standard 20 to 25% to offset a good 2 tier program. So unless you are a very big affiliate getting 35% plus a significant repeat order commission of at least 20%, you will lose promoting single tier. Therefore, at the high payout levels, programs actually pay higher commissions to fewer strong affiliates. Small and medium sized affiliates really miss out.
The best affiliate programs promote the advantages of their 2 tier approach. Why? Because they know a 2 tier approach gives them better bottom-line results. Their programs are more effectively promoted in a cooperative rather than combative atmosphere. They also are in for the long run and know that happier affiliates will generate better program sales.
