PSP - Google and Prescriptions

23rd March 2005

We recommend online pharmacy affiliates take fast action to place a specific declaration on your site pages. i.e. - For USA orders the FDA require that, either a current prescription or a new prescription from a qualified medical practitioner is obtained to cover the purchase of controlled medications.

Google have suspended several PPC affiliates for not displaying the above disclaimer on their sites, (despite ads only showing outside US). Most OP affiliates do not advertise on Google Adwords or Overture, so it is not a big deal. However, it is an additional restriction I am sure you would prefer to eliminate.

We use two purpose built sites for Google non prescription links. The main site: http://www.bestsexboost.com/ for herbal, with all pharmacy links removed. However, Google and Overture PPC advertising for herbal products are too expensive, so we do not use them.

Our growth of herbal/natural, while small initially, is now reaching significant numbers with an increasing number of effective natural products being identified. For your long term business, we suggest you make use of the fact there are fewer issues with marketing non prescription health products. The 4 top natural product suppliers on the summary list are all generating and paying growing commissions. http://www.drugstorebestbuys.com/affiliates/default.htm#natural

PS: Google search now commands only 36% of the market with Yahoo taking a 29% share and MSN following at 15%.
